About Us

From a modest beginning in 1950, the Y-12 Federal Credit Union now serves over 107,000 members as a full service financial institution. Y-12 FCU is a federally-chartered, member-owned, non-profit financial cooperative. Deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), an agency of the U.S. Government.

Collateral for Sale

From time to time, we offer collateral for sale after a foreclosure of a mortgaged property has occurred.

Gives Foundation

Y-12 Federal Credit Union is excited to have recently formed our Y-12 FCU Gives Foundation, which was founded to extend our organization's legacy mission of "people helping people" into the philanthropic realm of charitable giving and support.  The mission of the foundation is to enhance and support educational initiatives, improve health and wellness, and be a first responder to emerging community needs.

Financial Education

Y-12 Federal Credit Union offers in-house financial counseling free of charge for all members. The program focuses on personal budget analysis and the development of a savings and spending plan.

Notary Services

All Y-12 Federal Credit Union branches provide notary services, such as notarizing documents, witnessing signatures and certifying a document's validity at no cost to our members. A valid picture ID is required for all notary services.

Safe Deposit Box

Safe Deposit Boxes can be rented on a yearly basis in all of our branches (excluding Clinton and Sevierville). Not all sizes are available in all branches.

Scholarship Opportunity

Security Center

Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States and the Federal Trade Commission's top reported fraud complaint. Surveys reveal that there are currently 7-10 million victims per year. Identity theft occurs when a person (suspect) obtains the personal information of another person (victim) without authorization from the victim, and uses that information for any unlawful purpose.

Shared Branching

Y-12 Federal Credit Union is part of the CU Service Centers Shared Branching network. With shared branching, credit unions from all over the country share facilities to give members thousands of convenient locations to perform transactions.

Tax Services

Y-12 Federal Credit Union offers a convenient solution to file your taxes and receive your return in as little as 10-14 days. For a minimal fee, you can file your return online with Turbo Tax. There is no software to download and minimal computer memory is required.
